This pendant was meticulously hand-drilled and hand-cut from an actual Irish one pingin (penny) coin. It features a hen with chicks.

The design is an homage to the rural character and farming communities of Ireland. Because of the rich symbolism—and because these are the last of their kind—this coin became known as a “lucky Irish penny.”
